The Afro-Latino population is the fastest-growing subgroup among all Latino subgroups, comprising an estimated one-third of the total Latino population in the United States. While male Afro-Latinos have played prominent and highly visible roles in Congress, academia, sports, and other disciplines for decades, Afro-Latinas are also rising to power.
Afro-Latinas now hold positions of power and influence in finance, media, government, corporate America, entertainment, academia, business, film, theater, management, the nonprofit sector, and many more areas of public significance. The struggle has been
years in the making and Afro-Latinas are now exercising power like never before.
USHLI proudly presents three Afro-Latina power players. The forum will be held on Friday, February 16 at 9:15 am CST.
