This year's Midwest Hispanic Student Leadership Conference (MHSLC) is expected to attract leaders from 60 student organizations representing at least 40 colleges and universities from states including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and more.

The student leadership conference will focus on getting-out-the-vote, social and cultural issues, promoting collegiate leadership development, and creating a strong network of Latino student organizations in the Midwest.

Representatives of the campaigns of Barack Obama and John McCain are expected to address the MHSLC on September 27 in Chicago. Participants will be urged to make a final push in the remaining days before the deadline to register more students and non-students to vote, and help get-out-the-vote.
